UR NEW YORK - EYE OF THE BEHOLDER INSTALLATION

"EYE OF THE BEHOLDER" UR NEW YORK ART INSTALLATION from urnewyork on Vimeo.

"With Eye of the Beholder, we were attempting to symbolize the struggles within achieving greatness. In art everyone is watching you, what’s the next step? What is your potential greatness? What can you achieve? There is this sense of urgency, so we produce, trying to appease that constant demand. We had to ask ourselves, how do we keep our pieces from becoming stagnant, how do you continually create at a fast pace but always push the bar, always maintain that level of quality, of mastery, that’s the challenge. When it came to working with Woodward, we thought through was how will we take this moment to do something completely new for the collective. We considered balance, concepts of symmetry and understanding the tug of war between success and struggle. It breaks down pretty simply: Two artists, four panels, two each, two sides to the success" - UR NEW YORK

ROYCE BANNON - "THE UNUSUAL SUSPECTS"

TMNK "MODERN URBANISM'S" EXHIBITION

Within only a matter of days, the art show “Modern Urbanisms” will hold its opening reception and NYC will be reintroduced to the prodigious talents of artist TMNK. TMNK, also known as “The Me Nobody Knows” and better known as just “Nobody”, is nothing short of contemporary, adroit, and insolent in his style and the resilient messages he brings. Through pop-up pieces, “Modern Urbanisms” will deflect a uniform reality as it explores and divulges the many unprecedented “thoughts and expressions” that surround us but often times go unnoticed and in turn, unrecorded. The show opens February 10th at 7:00pm at 351 Bowery in NYC.
